Fall Favorites

If you don't already know by now I am a sucker for velvet, boy-structured silhouettes, sheer garments, and leather.
So, it's only natural for me to be hooked on these collections.

the SHOP

Yes, it's happening March 3rd will be the opening of my Big Cartel Store!
I know what you are thinking, "another blogger with a store", but its different.
But, I will be altering some of the thrifted dresses, pants, and shorts to have a modern twist!

Blue Jeans Blues

(Vintage blouse/ jean vest, Arc & Co. leather jacket, UO thigh high socks, F21 shoes, DIY shorts, H&M tights)

Quick post: Don't mind the room decorations, coming over to my friend's place is always fun! I always make her take pictures of me for the blog. She recently finished decorating her room and now I want to live there (so jealous). New obsession is my DIY shorts, which I made from these old pants I got from H&M.

Spring is in the Air

Yes, I know Fall 2012 Fashion Week just came to an ended. New York Fashion Week was filled with fall colors, leather accents, and knitted sweaters that strutted the runaway and soon will appear at trendy stores around the world (if they haven't already). But, spring is just around the corner so lets not forget our favorite collections for this coming spring season.

Nina Ricci is one of my favorites.  Can you image any other color palette for these garments?! From the patterns, to the structure, to the color scheme this collection screams flawless. Spring here I come with cropped blouses, short skirts, bra tops, floral print, and pastel colors.

The Old is Back

Totally procrastinating to the fullest. Two mid-terms tomorrow and I should be going to bed, but I swear the internet has some kind of hold over me. So, here I am after cleaning my computer and deciding to post these pictures. This was back when Bleach Vintage was active and I was selling those cowboy boots. Although, those boots are no longer on sale the black shorts will be! Yes, if you are looking for high-waisted denim cut off shorts wait one more week. In my opinion everyone must have a pair of high-waisted shorts, its a staple item (but who cares about what I think). I'm being super bias on the count that I have like 5 million shorts in my closet!

The Backyard

(Vintage Velvet dress and sweater, Ecote ankle boots, H&M tights)

My journey to find the perfect velvet dress seemed to be endless. Every time I'd go to a thrift store I would hope and pray to the thrift gods that I would come across one. Well, my persistence paid off because I finally found my perfect little black velvet dress. Originally, this was a tea length dress; which I actually was super stoked about. However, that silhouette works on certain body types and unfortunately it didn't work on mine (major disappointment). So, because I'm scissor crazy I decided to chop off the bottom part of the dress and make it a mini velvet dress. Definitely worked out, as you can see. It's adorable! Not trying to brag or anything, but I was incredibly happy.
I can wear this dress so many different ways. This time I wore it with my granny cream sweater, super comfy for a cold day. I'm going to start calling this dress LBVD (little black velvet dress). Really nerdy of me I know!
I've been on the look out for some more velvet gems and have quite a few in store for you to see. At this point of my thrifting existence my closet is over flowing with blouse, shorts, skirts, and dress. It's really like you name it and I got it. So, I have become really particular about what I buy at thrift stores for myself. I'm in the hunt for some rad garments and the thrill of finding them is exhilarating
Have a great weekend lovies!

Black Roses Red Sky

(Thrifted blouse, Steven Madden boots, AA skinny jeans, Arc & CO. leather jacket)

Love this blouse.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable day, even though it's a hallmark holiday it can still be fun to play the part by wearing pinks, corals, or reds.

These are some of many favorite looks from Nasty Gal and Urban Outfitters.

Midnight Blues

(thrifted AA disco pants/sweater/boots, next generation cropped blouse)

From sundresses to chunky sweaters is how diverse the weather has been in San Francisco. The city has had quite a bipolar weather week with sunny days to extremely rainy/windy ones. Although, I can't complain when it's sunny it is so beautiful, specially since I live a block away from the beach. These particular pictures where taken on a semi sunny/cloudy day last week in the Presidio. The view of the park and the Golden Gate bridge was incredible, I will share pictures soon.

Lately, I have been wearing collared blouses, it's my new obsession aside from the disco pants I found for $21! I go to school near a Buffalo Exchange in the mission and decided to stop by and just browse (that's how it always starts) when I saw these pants. American Apparel disco pants for $21, it was a no-brainer only because well these pants are $82 retail price. I just had to buy them it was too good of a deal to pass, but the only downside was that they were a medium so I had to alter them to fit me better. It was really funny to me because I had been lurking at the AA website to buy the disco pants for a while and then I saw them at Buffalo Exchange and it was like a sign from heaven! (lol)

Beginners

(Vintage jean shorts, crochet cardigan, boots, UO thigh socks, DIY cropped top)

These pictures are from a while back, I totally forgot to post them, but better sooner than never, right? Tonight, I'm watching the Beginners, designing my new resume, and blogging. (what an exciting Saturday night!!!)

Lately, I have been getting inspired by so many different magazines, bloggers, and lookbook.nu posts. Although, I cannot really remember what exactly inspired this outfit that I was wearing the day I was at my friend's apartment in Berkeley is really irrelevant. So, why I am rambling on and on about the inspiration, well... Coachella. Coachella alone can be an inspiration on its on filled with amazing fashion, crochet tops/sweaters,ripped shorts, white flowy dresses, long braided hair, pastels, glitter, and much more. This was the day that I had found out the Coachella line up and so, this crochet cardigan was so very appropriate.

So this year I am selling this little vintage gem!
Be sure to look for it soon in my newly developed online store which will open next month!!!
